i think it has somethin to do with the fact that the Cl- is from a strong acid (HCl) so the result is a weak base so the pH is around 7.5 but i dont know how to use an equation.

Cl- + H2O <-----> HCl + OH-

This equilibrium lies heavily to the left, so there are very few extra OH- ions, and the pH is only just above 7.
