Well, you haven't told us how you feel about them. If you really care for them then you should explore that aspect of your relationship. If you think you can only be friends you need to keep it hat way. I have only once been able to remain friends with a former girlfriend and that was because we still loved each other, but drove each other crazy when were dating. We just knew too many things about each other and it was too hard to think of a world without that friendship.
Just think about how important the friendship is and whether you could handle losing them if things don't work out.

Sorry, but the answer depends on your age.
If you can, marry him. Marriage should be based on friendship before anything else. Attraction and sex-appeal are important, but tell me, how many 60-year-olds have a lot of sex appeal? Yet how many married 60-year-olds can say they are married to their best friend?
If you are too young, enjoy the friendship, but leave it there.

That's the difficulty of having a best friend of the opposite sex. If you also like him that way , go for it.

I would be kinda upset .. if i didnt feel the same way. Some friendships are always ruined that way. and it would never be the same again.
I would tell them that they're my best mate ever and i dont want that to change coz i dont wanna loose them... it would be awkward for a bit after wards but they'dcome round. i hope XD

Don't do it unless you are sure your friendship can handle a potential breakup. My two friends just started dating and broke up and the whole group is out of whack! Be careful.

Don't do it!!! Don't get together. If you two go with each other you have to think about the consequences of when you two break up. If you two break up on bad terms then yawls friendship will never be the same!! Think about it!

well i've been there and i didn't do or say anything until he confronted me about it. and when he confronted me about it, we ended up talking about it, then after about a month we decided to hook up as a couple. it was just that he was my friend for 2 years and i didn't know what kinda of feelings i had for him until we talked about it. and if u dont feel conferable with that just explain to him that he is better being ur friend.

I will think about it really carefully, and then I will confront him to tell him if he really has a chance or not, so that he will not expect too much or something in return

it's a tough one... but think about it carefully, he could end up being the man you will spend the rest of you life with or he could be your worst enemy. See what the pros and cons are.
