You could try Kusudama (ball origami) or Unit Origami. Various books are available at any big chain bookstore, and it's a lot of fun. Each finished product contains many smaller pieces, and the difficulty of a piece varies from stupidly easy to really hard (60o pieces [equilateral triangles] are the hardest - if the angle isn't just right, the product won't fit as a whole). I've done Kusudama for a few years with lots of success - really gorgeous finished products too. Just google kusudama and you'll get a bunch of good results.

Go to the closest public library because there are many good books available on this subject. The librarian will be happy to help you find something on their shelves or through inter-library loan.
