Indy is just not the ideal circuit for a Grand Prix. Long Beach has a history and Sanoma (Infineon, California) would be good for tourists. Miami for the fact it's a international city.

Nani - I understand F1 isn't popular in America, but don't forget California and Miami are not like the midwest. Both areas would attract F1 fans.

I agree that Indy is probably the best candidate for dropping. I'd like to see the US race on a better track. And I think the next one to be added should be in Europe -- if Bernie E. is concerned about the economics of racing, as some of the recent changes have addressed, he would do well to promote more racing close to the teams' home bases. Plus the European circuits are well-designed for fans and TV.

loss of investment is the base line. it is not a fiasco. purely they don't have the money to degree the teach. Bernie Ecclestone being British ,you will possibly wish, might make investments different money he has created from F1 in to the circuit. yet NO. He slags it off. in case you throw sufficient money at any circuit it truly is going to look great however the nice and comfortable button is Donnington needs to make a income & it is not. So why make investments. If it tiers the F1 circus yet nonetheless can no longer make a income to deliver it as much as contemporary F1 standards then possibly we'd desire to continuously permit it bypass. Its unhappy. yet as somebody has already suggested incredibly some the hot circuits are no longer rewarding. they are geared up as a significant merchandising hording for their u . s .. except it truly is ideal to any of the potential F1 circuits in GB then we've not have been given any hazard.

Bernie needs to be careful with expanding F1 races to different regions of the world. He dropped two European races from the calender this season, and is having a track built in India, with talks of a Korean GP sometime in the next few years. Europe has always been F1's home, but if he continues taking races away from the European circuits, European sponsors, teams, etc. may pull out if they feel their sponsorships aren't reeping the rewards in their home markets. He needs to be careful.

I don't think any more Grand Prix's should be dropped. Instead more should be added with less time to test and prepare, some teams might get a new advantage.

if there is one that should be dropped it would have to be Monaco, its too tight, the passing it awful, they are dodging pot holes coming out of the tunnel, simply put the cars have out grown the coarse
so lets look at what race can never be dropped
a race that is so steeped in tradition, the one everyone wants to win if they only win one, the one race that with out it the face of f1 would be changed forever, .....oh...its Monaco again
but that aside i say drop Indy i hate the lay out - its the worst track on the calender, if you trim the car out so its fast on the strait and you have no grip for the rest of the coarse wich is where the passing is supposed to take place, but if you don't you'll get passed on the strait like you wher standing still
and lets talk location, you have long beach, not 30 mins from hollywood, 3 hours drive from san diego, in there you have 3 major theme parks two of the largest zoos in the world, the gliz and glamor on beverly hills, miles of sandy beaches with the wind blowing in off the pacific - no forget that lets put the us grand prix in the middle of indiana the mecca of american tourism
and one more reason tony george - the yoko ono of american open wheel racing

In a perfect world, they would drop INDY. There are plenty of "TRUE" road courses here that I think would be better than INDY---Laguna Seca,Watkins Glen,Sears Point,Road Atlanta, just to name a few.As an American ,it just pisses me off that they race at Indianapolis when there are so many really great road courses here.Thats really not what you asked, but that's my opinion.
