My suit is a black pinstriped suit, and I can go out and buy a new shirt/tie to go along with her dress, but not sure how reds fit into this. Thanks!

Try not to compliment her dress with a black tie, you will stand out much more as an individual and look like a much more sophisticated couple. If you do want to compliment it anyways, try a dark red tie as it will make her dress glow. Use a standard white shirt, or try for a grey shirt that will work your pinstripes up. You'll both look great. good luck.

Either a red or white shirt and a black tie would look classy. If you don't want to be too matchy with your date, go with the white. It will look nice against the pinstripes.
If you want a different look, you could forget the tie altogether, and unbutton the first few buttons of your dress shirt. It's more of a relaxed style, but that would also depend on how fancy your date's dress is.

Try a white shirt and red tie. That combination will go with almost any suit in your wardrobe.
