Don't know if you have heard about this, but Ken Livingstone is planning to use tax payer's money to build an enormous mosque costing an estimated 100M in the docklands. What do you think about it? Wouldn't it be better to spend the money on a new hospital or improved transport facilities??
BIGGER THAN ST PAULS!!!

The plan is for the mosque to be so big that people flying in from all over the world for the 2012 Olympics will it see it as the biggest landmark in London , bigger than St Pauls, Westminster Abbey or Wembley Stadium.

Take a second to cast your vote in The Evening Standard on-line poll to determine public opinion about whether a mega mosque should be built for the Olympics.

The vote so far is 62 % in favour. It looks like the Muslim community is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the Christians are burying their heads in the sand..........................

After voting, forward this to as many people as
you can. Here's the link :-

Your question is misleading. It is _NOT_ going to be funded by taxpayer's money, it is going to be funded by Tablighi Jamaat, an Islamic organisation. Nobody is stopping the Church of England submitting plans to build a new cathedral if they wanted. That wouldn't be funded by taxpayer's money either. The reason behind building such a mosque would be Islam in Britain is growing, wheras Christianity is dying out. If more Christians went to church then more churches would be built - simple as that.

READ THIS FIRST: Not only am I disgusted at your attitude towards these proposed or even rumoured plans but also the response being received by these few may I call uneducated narrow minded people who have no regards to other religions or the importance of wellbeing. Get a life you bunch of scums and give society the chance to live in unity, stop the seperations not encourage them. I left the UK a year ago and reading the comments I have read only makes me happy I have. I am now living in the UAE which is regarded as the melting point of all cultures and it truly is. It is a Muslim country yet on Christmas they spend more on the festive season to help the christian community feel at home than most other countries. Yet you dont feel the need to do the same for Muslims. I pray for a better day.

I have done my bit for God, Harry, England and St George but I have not seen any mention of this blight on London being funded from the public purse.

Tax payer, please protest it. It is true what Oriana Fallaci (the Italian author, journalist) said in her book "The Force of Reason": Quote: "How come that so many initiatives are taken, meanwhile, in favour of the Islamic religion? "......

"The Koran is the Mein Kampf of a religion which always aimed to eliminate the others." unquote.

I think if everybody realized and concern about this, has to stick together. Islam trying and still trying to transform Europe to be the islamic continent. It happens not only in UK, but in all Europe.

100 million what? Pounds? Denari? Euros? Dead chickens? (Halal or non Halal). Your inaccuracy about currency echoes the immediacy of a myriad myths that are concurrent with a declining scare.

It is not going to be built with any taxpayers money whatsoever, but built with private funds from the UAE and Kuwait. This is just hysterical anti-muslim nonsense.
