Dont forget you can buy a sharpening stone, this works better than the things that come with knife sets. The stone also come in a variety of different sizes.

Check the angle on the cutting blade (one blade is usually the cutting edge and the other is flat) and follow that angle with a sharpening stone. Using a metal file works but you need experience to get it right. Before doing any sharpening, check the bolt that holds the blades together. Sometimes they become loose and the blades open up (separate) and leave a gap between the blades so they don't cut.

a knife sharpener works, i actually bought a small sharpener just for that reason. found it on qvc, called the sharpening shark, it is made in germany, is small, easy to use, and sharpens just about anything. not too expensive either...

authentic tip, Mmhmm... i don't have a genuine tip yet this would please you. at present I met a three legged stray cat. It became cute :). i needed to take it abode so badly in spite of the certainty that i will no longer be able to because of the fact my father and mom won't have it. It became so cute and that i felt so sorry for it. It became in a foul concern - untrimmed and laying off hair, no collar, bitten ears, 3 legs, scratched eyes. I even have come to a end - i will undertake a cat sooner or later. :)
