its smarter to just ignore someone who persistantly makes offensive, harassing remarks than to complain about them to the robots that run this site. this also removes the only weapon that the report-happy trolls use to harass us.

I'd like both options. Some people annoy me, but not enough that I want their accounts taken away.

That is an outstanding idea. Then people can shutoff age inappropriate content and intolerant people would no longer be able to abuse the report flags by using them delete posts for ideological reasons rather than the content. We all know that some people using this site try to get accounts deleted if they do not like a person's beliefs. We all know know that this is wrong and most of us want it stopped. Peace be with you

I hate buttons !!!!
Why are people trying to resolve everything by using buttons?Y! users are 'allowed' to speak freely (LOL), that is what they say....and then there is an a@@-machine that removes you because you tickled homebody's' b@@@s !!!!
But i do not have a chance to use the same button !!!!

Haven't you noticed, that in this world only the biggest and the strongest can use THE button?

I totally agree with you about this. I'm not writing this for a best answer. I'm writing this simply because I agree with you. If we ignore certain people maybe they'll go away. That's how I feel about it in any section of Yahoo Answers.
