I've also never seen conservative protestors spit at our military.

Conservatives are like the cultured, well-bred, well-mannered, considerate tennis fans you see at Wimbledon.
Liberals are like the rabble you see at English soccer matches. Yeah, Liberals are about as high class as soccer hooligans. Just look at the undignified way Cindy Sheehan conducts herself, such as forcing policemen to CARRY her from demonstrations!
For Libs, it's all a big irresponsible party. They would love to get arrested so they have something to brag about.
And what is it with the way Liberals dress, especially for protests? They are like cartoon characters, or some poor imitation of 60's hippies. They dress in sloppy 60's garb like it's some big party. The less flamboyant don't dress like hippies; they just wear their declasse K-Mart togs. How are we supposed to take any group seriously that doesn't even know how to dress themselves properly?
They should take a hint from the 1960's Civil Rights demonstrations. Those people were dressed like proper ladies and gentlemen, and hence they were taken seriously.

I consider myself conservative (not extreeme)I guess on some things, and no I don't see them throwing things or blocking traffic. They're usually very calm holding a flag or sign and aren't looking for trouble. As one poster said most are working or doing their political work from home in non-violent ways by trying to go about things through the proper channels. Most I know are older or veterans and aren't extreemists like bombing abortion clinics or picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers. They just want laws enforced and are usually extreemly patriotic.

Conservative or Lib, protesting is part of America's whole free speech thing and an attempt to draw attention to whatever issue is of concern. With protests come security issues and security costs. The taxpayer, you and me, get to pay for this right of expression and potentially a night in jail (w/ a hot meal and bed) and then usually the court costs, and then the protesters protest yet again. I love America!

yes, last year in Ypsilanti MI for many weekends in a row the pro lifers were out blocking traffic with 8 foot signs showing propoganda photos of late term abortions (abortion is illegal after the first trimester in MI). When the community showed up (not necessarily pro choicers, just concerned citizens not wanting to sit outside on the sidaewalk cafe with their children trying to eat lunch while lookin at these photos) to stand in front of the protestors with big white sheets. They were met with rocks, more signs, and being shoved in the street. OH, and there was the times that Fred Phelps and his conservative church showed up to protest the soldier funerals...but you don;t want to take credit for THOSE conservatives, do you? So let's just agree that nuts exist on both sides, now that I have given you several examples

I would like to do a lot more than throw things at Rove. Where is John Hinkley Jr when you need him?

Those are kids.
And conservatives don't believe in protest. They think it's unAmerican to disagree with anything the President does, right? So they never dissent. No protest required when "status quo" is satisfactory.

Never seen a conservative protest LARGE enough to block traffic. LMAO!
EDIT: The more likely reason is that conservative extremism has alienated so many people that there just aren't that many.

You bring up a very valid point. It seems that they resort to violence and disruption when logic fails them. It is part of the dumbing of America.
