Can you tell me good places to go to vacation in USA that are not:
New York
Orlando
LA
Las Vegas
I'm very interested in visiting somewhere where there are great things to see and places to visit in the daytime, but also it has to have a great nightlife. HELP!!

Seattle for a short visit then come to Canada for a real holiday . Your dollar buys more.

I choose LA better than Orlando when you go to some amusement parks like Disney and Universal. Las Vegas is ok and New York is a great place when New Years Eve!

New York is always fun. Orlando is neat but it's kind of a kiddie destination because of Disneyworld (though there's not problem with adults going there obviously). LA is, well, LA. You have to narrow it down a bit from there. It's got the only beach on your list. Las Vegas sucks. It's a hedonistic craphole. Don't go there.
Honestly I would probably go to New York. It's got the theatre as well as endless places to visit (museums, restaurants, shopping, etc.). I would never live there but it's great to visit.

Florida is for old folks. Try Savannah, that's a pretty nice place. I've also been wanting to see upstate New York, I know you said shopping and beach, but don't dismiss the places a little off the beaten path.

the best places are the Grand Canyon or the painted desert, the Giant's thumbprint or petrified forest, all out west. but there's no night life. go to a big city like Chicago where there are museums for the daytime and clubs for night time.
