I think it comes down to negligence. I was on the pill when I fell pregnant so it was a complete accident but I do feel some negligence as I was warned that having a tummy bug can stop it from working and I didn't take any other precautions. There are so many questions on here about people not using anything and risking it then finding out they are pregnant when not wanted. I don't regret getting pregnant but if you don't want a child then make sure it doesn't happen. Like you said there are so many services and advice for preventing pregnancy so why is there so many unplanned babies in the world. I have heard of women using abortions as birth control which I find shocking. At the end of the day if you really don't want a baby then protect yourself.

Most pregnancies happen unexpected. Be happy that you are atleast MARRIED and doing pretty well in the financial part. There are women out there who get pregnant at 14, 15 unexpectedly and they still grow up to have a great and beatiful life and baby! Dont worry, even if you are pregnant, it MIGHT bring worries and stress only in the begining! Once everyone gets over it, you , your husband and family will be MORE THAN happy to be having a new baby in the family!!! Unexpected babies are the best! It brings wonderful joy to the family! If you are pregnant, take it one step at a time and everything will be great!!! You will see how happy you will be that you got pregnant to begin with! Just remember, everything happens for a reason! Goodluck!

Congratulations! I am in the same boat! I am 35, was on the depo shot and got pregnant! My hubby and I have only been married since October 2006! This is my first child and although unplanned, it's still our child and there is no way we could just get rid of it! My advice is to relax and enjoy your pregnancy!
Very best wishes!

Of course it is safe.. women deal safely with unplanned pregnancies all the time!
As for healthy? Well, if an unplanned pregnancy causes stress and discomfort in your family, then no, it's not all that healthy.

You know what things happen and they happen for a reason.. when you have the baby you will see it will change your life and you would appreciate your baby and your husband more because you have something to share with him that you and him made

I'm pregnant with my third child unexpectedly, we were happy with just two. But, after the initial "I cant believe I'm pregnant what the hell are we gonna do?" It gets exciting and fun. Don't let your fears worry you to the point where you cant enjoy it.
