I had one abortion at 18 and another one at 28. I had the surgery that unblocked one of my fallopian tube in 2002. Now I'm 40 and trying to have a baby and haven't gotten pregnant yet. What's wrong?

The main problem is probably that you're 40, its much more difficult for women that age to get pregnant. If you've been trying for more than 6 months you should see a fertility specialist.

Do you mean a miscarriage or an abortion? They're both pretty much the same thing, just that a miscarriage happens naturally and an abortion doesn't. Yes, it can affect the fallopian tube. During an abortion I'm sure your tubes can be damaged, and I know that during a miscarriage, they can be damaged also. I had a miscarraige, and less than two months later, I had a tubal pregnancy because one of my tubes were damaged from the miscarriage. I'mnot sure how common it is though.

it could be that the fallopian tube blockage has returned. or the surgery created scar tissue that blocked it again.

your chances of having a healthy baby decrease after age 35 by about 20%. You are in a higher risk category right now. If you cant conceive maybe you could consider adoption.

The main problem is your age. Once a woman hits 30, her chances of concieving drop dramatically. Try going to your doctor and asking for suggestions. You might want to try buying an ovulation predictor kit and a basal body thermometer to help tell you when you are ovulating.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
