Helmets, Gloves, Knee and Elbow pads.
The more daring at heart may go without, but, when competing I think they have to wear a certain amount of protection.

Yeah as if you speed skate your gonna fall at some point if you aim to be any good anyway. I know that souneds like a contradiction but you have to take risks in speed skateing to win at times especially if you are trying to overtake. You will at some point get it wrong and catch a skate or an edge or barge into someone etc, and when you fall you will be going fast and the risk of falling and cracking your head on the ice is fairly high so helmets are a must.

Yes, skaters need to wear a helmet, because if you smack your head on the ground, you won't be skating for a while.

i think of they have in no way fallen off. At any velocity; by using fact once you're no longer wearing shielding kit you will shred your outfits, then your pores and skin, on the tarmac in much less time than it takes you to assert 'ouch.' the size of the bike does not truly matter huge type; a fifty cc scooter is going rapid sufficient to try this in case you return off. every physique who doubts it, i'm specific there is incredibly some pictures in a Google photograph seek. it is not like it truly is an uncommon journey to ensure some chav sliding around a corner heavily observed by ability of the scooter AND the helmet; you ever see a chav certainly wearing a helmet suitable? positioned it this way. i've got spilled off my bike some circumstances. Wrecked 2 helmets, have been on condition that function 'you have been for a slide' scuffing on my leathers, and bruised my ribs slightly. If i might carried out any of that for the period of denims, i might have spent incredibly some very painful time getting denim fibres pulled from the abrasion injuries. Then i could be having pores and skin grafts. by using fact tarmac does truly rub off incredibly some pores and skin. So I spend incredibly some money at this form of kit it truly is a one shot and altered type. i like my pores and skin. i like it linked to me, and not linked to the line. And whilst pores and skin grafts must be greater low-priced, sturdy kit hurts much less. i've got have been given sufficient scars already from youthful incidents regarding alcohol and pushbikes (touchdown on your face hurts, even after 9 pints and four double vodkas) and none of them are badges of honour; they are evidence of something I did that replaced into stupid and that i will't be repeating. And slightly very final element. you recognize what hospitals call bikers? Organ donors. no longer wearing shielding kit does not make that assessment get greater ideal.

Yeup....And I've bounced my goard off of the ice a time or two trying to skate. I can only imagine what it would be like to crack your egg on the ice at top speed!
