Meatloaf has always been one of my favorites. I agree with the previous posters that "Bat Out of Hell" was his best album which has never been equalled. I honestly didn't know he was still around. I'll have to check out his latest stuff now that you've brought it up.
Have you ever noticed how much Jack Black looks like a younger version of Meatloaf?

I think his first album (Bat Out of Hell) was phenomenal, so much so that he has never equalled it. BUT, it was due in part to the partnership with Jim Steinman, who wrote the songs and had the concept for the album. His voice seems shot now, but he is still entertaining. He sang on a 1970s Ted Nugent album, and of course was in Rocky Horror. I think he had a unique talent, but hard living and the strain of singing that material took its toll on him.

I think quite a lot of his songs are great. In fact the song "Bat out of hell" would be in my top 5 songs of all time.
Other songs by him which I really liked included "Objects in the rear view mirror" and "I`d do anything for love".
As for what I think of the person, well I`ve never met him and don't really know him, so all I can really say is that I like quite a lot of his music.

He's cool. My favorites by him are Two Out of Three Ain't Bad,and Paradise By The Dashboard Lights. I like his old stuff better than his newer stuff.

I really like his voice, it is very unique and sounds nothing like these new "singers". His voice is gritty, edgy, but sweet at the same time. However, many people including myself, would like to know what he won't do for love. But, yeah I think he's pretty cool :)

When bad genes were being passed out, he went back for second, third, and forth helpings, and it paid off. He's about a 5 on the voice/song quality. He should have wrote a song called, "I would do anything to be better looking..."
