What about it do you want to prove? Why it's caused? If that is the case, try the three-pronged approach. Large numbers of college freshman are taking remedial courses because of a, b, and c. Then a, b, and c can be the topics of your body paragraphs. (or a and b, or abc and d-- don't just make three arbitrary reasons just becuase you want to have 3).
