It's a tie between all of the months with 31 days,
January, March, May, July, August, October, and December

Some say that January is the longest month, because it seems that way being after Christmas, and so cold and dreary in much of the world.

May, because time wise june 21 is the longest day of the year by a few seconds. So technically May is the longest month if you were to get really technical but only by a few seconds.

So that means January, March, May, July, August, and December.... they tie with 31 days

In the UK, it's October, because it's 31 days and 1 hour long.

The one hour comes from changing the clocks from BST ['British Summer Time' - for 'daylight saving'] back to GMT. All clocks go back one hour, adding 1 hour to all our lives this month.

Usually December, because if a leap second is added to the world's timekeeping system, it usually gets added at the end of December 31.

December as there are 365.25 days in a year. the last month is therefore left with the extra 0.25 days so december has 31.25 days however, this is instead added on to february in the leap years.
