Ok...so I am sick fairly often...its just natural...but i have missed 10 days of school this semester and my friends are always calling me and saying OMG youve missed soo much school..I can't help it. It really makes me mad. What should I do? ( btw: its my last year with them)

second: Can they hold me back for missing so much school?
I am a straight A student. I always do all my make - up work. Whenever i am sick i am always doing homework! soo what do you think?

Talk to them and tell them it is bothering you when they do that. If they keep on doing it, they are not the kind of people you want to be hanging out with anyway.

If all your absences were for valid reasons and if your grades are up there, the school can't hold you back.

Re: your friends
Why are you mad at them? Aren't you glad they still call you whenever you're not in school? At least you know you're not forgotten. If you don't like the things they say, you should control the conversation - ask for things you want to know or things you want to hear about.

I hope you get better soon.

wow.

I have this problem too.
ex: one of my friends kept a schedule of the days i'd missed.

now if that isn't s sucky friend, i don't know what is.

make sure your friends know you can't help that you are sick.
most of the time that doesn't work for me.

I just put up with the jokes they make up about it.
but it's more my whole class than just my friends.

and you can fail because of missed days.
but it depends on how many, if they're excused, etc.
I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you though, if you make good grades and are a good student things should work thereself out.
dont worry. : )
good luck.

Well, you have two issues working with you instead of against you. Since you get good grades and make up your work, I don't see them holding you back. And secondly, if this is your last year with them, I'd ignore it....school is almost out for everyone, two more months won't hurt...just laughed it off and say " I know...." kind of thing. By summer, they won't even think twice about your situation =)

I would talk to my teachers or the guidance counsellor about your concern. They will tell you. Obviously if you are getting A's and completing all your courses it's fine. You're sick! Your friends are just bugging you. It shouldnt make you mad. They're still your friends-even though it's your last year you can still hang out with them.

As long as you keep up the work and your grade average I don't think it should be a problem. Ask the school if it is a problem. They'll tell you.
