I just bought a new ac delco car battery and my car has a slight power loss at stop's.If I replace the alternator will this fix the problem?

Have your alternator checked should be charging at around 14 volts.

Take a voltmeter and put the leads on the battery post and measure the DC voltage. You should have 13.5 or so with the engine running. The power loss may be coming from some accessories draining voltage and current while at idle.

Should, sounds like alternator not putting out correct amps. Have a charge test done at Auto Zone it's free.

Possibly, but that might not be the problem. Take it to a repair shop you trust and have them test the alternator. They will tell you for sure.

You need to have the alternator tested.

You can have a mechanic rebuild an alternator.....but the best thing to do is to get a new one.....they're like $200
