If this is true why cant Honda or Hyundai be intrested in it.Surely they dont have the SUV image that Toyota or Nissan has and it will only do them good to have Chrysler with its strong SUV heritage. And as far as i know Honda is a financially strong firm.Surely Honda's technology and Chrysler's heritage will be a deadly combination.

If another buyer purchased Chrysler, they would also inherit the huge liability they have incurred in it's pension and health care liabilities. Some people figure Chrysler is worth less than nothing. It really has very little to do with the great products they build.I live near the headquarters and everyone is scared and leaving town.

Nobody wants to take over that mess. The car industry is too competitive right now to be taking over a company that loses 1.5 billion or more a year. Honda is about efficiency and reliability, two things chrysler is not. And chrysler has the lowest resale value of vehicles. with the current state of the car industry it is not a risk worth taking especially when you look at the struggles that GM and Ford are having right alongside chrysler. At least the government won't have to spend tax dollars to keep that company running this time.

Why buy a company that is dying off just to waste cash and assets? Just let it vanish and it opens the doors for companies such as Honda, Toyota.

And yes, Daimler wants to sell Chrysler yet no one wants them. Daimler is being smart and trying to ditch a loss, but they waited too long, should of sold it off bout 5 yrs ago.

Chrysler does not have a strong heritage in anything. No clue where you get that SUV information. Chevy and Ford have been the no. 1 truck since like forever, Chrysler has never had that award.

Daimler Chrysler wants to sell the Chrysler division and indeed ou are right no one wants it even though they paid 35 billion for it and now they would sell it for 6 billion. The auto parts company Magna International was interested in buying Chrysler but I dont know how thats going.

Most companies don't like to be associated with one that has a bad image. Although Dodge is a nice looking car and truck they have to many problems and word of mouth can break you. If they get bought I am sure they will not be called Chrysler or Dodge.

Kirk Kervorkian and his Tracenda group have made an offer of something like 4.5 or 4.6 billion all cash. Plus I think there is another interested party but they aren't saying anything about them.
