Because I did that once and my date seemed to get mad.

It's not THAT gross.
And no, it wasn't a first date, I've been going out with that guy for a few months.He doesn't seem to mind anymore.

some people may think it is not the politest thing you could have done. instead maybe you could have went to the bathroom and did it since you were on a date. it is always good to leave an good impression went out on a date. i wouldn;t have a problem with it though if you gotta blow your nose you gotta right?!!!

I think it's kind of gross. I would excuse myself and go to the bathroom, if it were me. My husband does it sometimes, esp if he is eatting spicy food. I am kind of use to it, but I still think it is nasty to do at the table.
