i went to the hospital because i was in pain for several days, my lower back and lower abdomen, and it was getting very unconfortable, i was also very stressed thinking that i was pregnant, at the hospital they did an ultrasound and also this type of thing where to see what the problem was, but nothing was found and they never mentioned pregnancy, after not finding anything they did a CT scan and told me i had a cyst on my left ovary?, does that mean i wasnt pregnant?
if i had been pregnant i would have been 6-7 weeks along since my first and only intercouse was feb.1st and i went to the hospital march29th

I guess I don't understand your question fully. Why did you think you were pregnant in the first place? Did you get a positive home pregnancy test or a positive test at the doctors?
Regardless, you are not pregnant now. ALL hospitals do mandatory pregnancy tests in women of childbearing age who come into the E.R. complaining of lower abdominal pain. So I am certain they did one and they certainly they would have told you if you were pregnant.
It sounds like you simply have an ovarian cyst on your left ovary. I am curious why you wouldn't have asked about a possible pregnancy though, if you thought you were pregnant??
Most of such cysts are harmless and resolve on their own, but the gynecologist will need to keep an eye on it.
Whenever you think you might be pregnant, you need to take a home pregnancy test and follow the directions carefully. There is no other way to know.
Good luck!

Did they take urine or blood? If they did, they checked for pregnancy. The cyst was the cause of your pain. More than likely not pregnant. Usually, by 6-7 weeks they'd see at the very least a sac. Best of luck.

I would go back to an OBGYN. Because my cousin had the same problems and went to get the ultrasound and they told her the exact same thing and then 4 weeks later she found out she was pregnant, so I would schedule an OB appointment just to be on the safe side and until then take 2 flintstone vitamins a day and take care of yourself to get this possible pregnancy off to a good start

If they did an ultrasound, they would have been able to see the pregnancy also. Therefore, you probably were not pregnant and just had a cyst that caused all the problems and pain you were experiencing. They will check for pregnancy if there's a slight chance and you go to the doctor for something related to your female organs.

They would have tested for pregnancy while you were at the hospital if you suspected it. I had some bleeding issues early on and had to go to the ER. They did a pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy and then they did a vaginal exam and ultrasound (it turned out I also had a cyst on my ovary, which was causing the bleeding.) I can't believe they didn't confirm/deny the pregnancy for you, what jackals!
Perhaps your best bet is to call your doctor. You can also do a home pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy yourself.

Yes, they never offered pregnancy as a possibility... a cyst can mean you have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) which can cause problems with your menstrual cycle.
If you are overweight, start dieting and see your doctor about possible treatments for your current cyst and any future ones you may develop.

I'm sure they would have told you had they discovered you were pregnant... however if you're worried you might be, go buy a home pregnancy test.... I'm assuming you didn't use protection (condoms and/or birth control pills) since you're wondering if you're pregnant... My suggestion would be to start using it and then you won't have to worry about it.

If the ultrasound picked up the cyst .. then it definitely would have picked up a baby as well!
You have an empty womb :)

You weren't pregnant - sometimes a cyst can give you symptoms like being pregnant.

If they thought you were pregnant, they would not have done a CT scan. I'm sorry, but you are most likely not pregnant.
