I gave a Best Answer to the question "What college education is required to be a gynecologist?" and I think it'd be a good read for you: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjpbrKPSq7B0_3IjBkB46EXsy6IX?qid=20060810140915AAGkHyh

But let me elaborate in terms of your particular query as well as reiterate the important points.

You can do ANY major and be eligible for medical school as long as you complete the medical pre-requisite coursework.

Baccalaureate coursework must include:
1 year general chem (with lab)
1 year organic chem (with lab)
1 year general biology (with lab)
1 year intro. physics (with lab)
1 year English
1 year calculus
Suggested coursework includes: psychology, statistics, biochemistry, humanities

Some of these courses will be covered if you choose to major in nutri. sci. But talk to the pre-med advisor to make sure that the classes you take for nutri. sci. do count toward these requirements.

I think nutri. sci. is a good choice if you are pre-med. A lot of the diseases you will be treating (even as an Ob-gyn) will be related to nutrition and obesity. Diabetes is going to be a huge factor, as well as cardiovascular disease. Having a solid background in nutri. sci. will help you greatly when it comes to helping your patients develop healthy habits to prevent illness and complications.

Anyway, good luck with your studies.

It doesn't seem like a great match because you'll need a lot of biology and chemistry to prepare for medical school and I'm not sure nutritional science will give you that background.

you like a bachelors degree in between the sciences that gets you into scientific college. there's a somewhat person-friendly set of instructions you would be predicted to conceal... biology, chemisty, physics, calculus, and so on., and additionally you could examine alongside with your college's profession preparation workplace on that. Then, you could bypass to graduate college (scientific college) after college on your trouble-free MD, and then specialise in OB/GYN which takes some extra years.

It can work if you take the right courses. You can basically do whatever major you want, as long as you take the appropriate prerequisites ie. anatomy, biochemistry, math. You should look at various medical schools and see what they require. Nutrition could work for you if it covers both requirements.
