Is there a difference in the grade or quality of tungsten rings?

Is tungsten just tungsten or is there different grades? Would there be a difference in say a ring purchased from Sears or Walmart versus a jewelry store?

From what I understand having shopped for a tungsten wedding band, there are no grades associated with the metal and all rings will have the same properties.

We were told that some are thinner and some are thicker and that is the only variance in strength. The polishing and finish can vary from matte to shiny as well but that doesn't have anything to do with quality, just personal preference.

The only difference in where you get the ring would be warranty and price. Our jeweler told us that the WalMart version is just the same as one he could get.
