New knockers may stand out more than the ones you're used to, but people who enjoy their houses usually like their knockers the way they are.

Stick with the doorbell. If you buy new knockers then you will be like everyone else on the block.

Stick with the old knockers unless they lost their knock ability
but do not go big, big knockers are not cool at all, now big doorbells are very cool.

Knockers are annoying. When I think of door knockers, I think of Ebenezer Scrooge, the selfish and miserly protagonist of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. Don't ask me why, I just do.

do both knockers look cool but the doorbell is more easily heard sometimes

Knockers are ok, but don't get knockers that are way to big for the door.

You should go for new knockers. You never know, they may entice people to put their packages through your post box.
