Yes - what you need is a hub or a router that both are connected to. That hub or router then itself connects to your broadband connection. A router is the better of the two because it distributes the bandwidth (speed) to whichever device needs it.

Yes. I have my Broadband Router and it only have one computer output. I bought a wireless router and plugged into that. The wireless has 4 cable outputs and I have a Tower direct connected. Then my Laptop is wireless., also, I considered a Hot-spot and a few neighbors connect through my wireless. I have had as many as 5 computers connected at one time with no noticeable decrease in Internet speed. I mean it may be a little slower, but, I can not tell it.

You dont' need different accounts. You need a router to connect both at the same time. Any router will do and they come with some pretty good setup instructions. Or if you only want one on at a time you can just switch the ethernet cable from your pc to your laptop and vice versa. Don't forget to reset your modem every time you do that though.(Unplug for 30 seconds and plug back in, or if using a VoIP modem use the reset button on the back where the cords are coming out)

You can have a laptop and pc on at the same time using the same broadband but you should have a wireless router that will allow you to hardwire connect to the PC and have a wireless connection to the laptop. "Wireless G" broadband router by LINKSYS should work fine.

Do you mean you want to use the internet on the desktop and the laptop at the same time? If so, you will need to setup a wireless connection on your laptop via a wireless router. Otherwise, you will need to hardwire both the desktop and the laptop via a router and a hub.

Yes you can. You may need a router to do it unless you have more than one connection on the box. I would go with a wireless router for convenience

As long as you have a router you can run multiple devices on the same internet account. I have eight devices connected to the same account

I have a wireless network in my home. We do it all the time. I gave my next door neighbor permission to tap in while his ISP is down and I know that at one time I have had 3 PCs and a laptop on the DSL line at one time.

Yes, just get a wireless router for your laptop and the router card if that is necessary. Linksys is what I use.
