Could the way the Iranians seized the British crew, treated them nice and now are releasing them finally be the olive branch the world has been waiting for to signal peace in the Middle East?
Could Mahmoud be the next "Arafat"?
I feel warm & fuzzy just knowing there are actually kind, thoughtful and compasionate leaders in the world.
Thank you Iran
Thank you Mr Ahmadinejad

Man, you are a sucker if you are buying into this self -promoting B.S.

He is a dictator who is building a nuclear bomb to take out isreal (or whoever is in his way at the time). He abuses his own people and he KIDNAPPED British soldiers for political purposes.

I hope that you are kidding in your assessment of the release and the motives behind it.

only because of fact a petition has been began does no longer mean it's going to come to something. The Nobel board are no longer likely to interrupt the prize policies that have been set down by Alfred Nobel himself, it only could no longer take place. and much less for Michael Jackson who replaced into never politically lively and did no longer something for international peace different than take part in some charity activities and the united states of a for Africa album extra desirable than 2 many years in the past. i does no longer nominate any lifeless man or woman as that's a pointless exercising. I trust the faster answer which places the residing first.

I don't think Ahmadinejad is a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize but certainly a gesture that is welcomed by peace loving people all over the world. One incident alone does not make one Nobel worthy but if he keeps working at it maybe Iran can be the catylist that will bring peace and cooperation to the Middle East. We need to keep all options open and on the table.

GOing by some of the other political nominants and winners of the Nobel Sleaze Prize, he is probably not insane enough to qualify.
I nominate Hannibal Lecter for the Nobel. All his other qualifications are good for the prize, even if he IS slightly existence-challenged.

Yea because we all know the nobel peace prize should go to a guy who call for the destruction of another country. As for Arafat, he died with a millions of $ of palestinian finacial aid in his own personal bank account, he should never have won that award.

are you insane???????? i don't get a warm and fuzzy when i think of that guy. you watch, this is NOT what it seems. Iran is playing a game. testing the waters. seeing how far they can go with the western world. you are absolutely out of your skull if you think these people have no ill-will towards the west. if anything, Mahmoud knows what would've happened if he did anything to those sailors. apparently he's not as stupid as i thought. maybe he knows if he did, there would be irrefutable proof to what people like Bush and me, as to his intentions towards the western world. he'll just let the anti-war nuts do his job.

I hear he once saved a kitten from a tree and helped a little old lady carry her bags back from the market.

Of course he later ate the kitten and had the woman executed for being out in public without her berk-ah.

But he came off looking good for a while to the press!

It's hard to tell if this was a genuine act of compassion or if he's just trying to gain points with the rest of the world. Regardless, it's very refreshing to know that these folks were released unharmed.
