Please explain why you can always find all the zeros of a 3rd degree polynomial once you find the first zero.

Once you find the first zero and factor it out, then you have a quadratic left over. Then you can use the quadratic formula to find its zeros.

Because then, you can reduce the 3rd-degree poly, to a 2nd-degree poly. which is a quadratic, and use the quadratic formula to get the other 2 zeros.
