Personally I'm very happy. It shows the Iranians are not the mindless bloodthirsty monsters so many say they are. Maybe there really can be peace in the middle east without military solutions.

What do you think?

There was never any doubt in my mind they would be released and that they where not being held by "bloodthirsty Iranians". That was never and will never be my opinion of Iranians.
I am happy for justice to prevail in any circumstance and hope that America and Britain will equal this justice in freeing any (and there are plenty of them) innocent Iraqi men held without charge, without trial and without a crime having been committed.

What do you think (if at all) of the Iranianuts grabbing those guys in the first place? Undoing a wrong they did just because it has become inconvenient to keep doing it does not make them a great bunch of people. When someone gives you back something or someone they have stolen from you in the first place, they are not giving any kind of gift.
I am very happy the sailors are supposedly going to be released, but will remain skeptical until it actually is done. Given the tendancy for people to be beheaded over there with dull rusty knives supplied by EU members, I am praying that they will be OK with every fiber of my being.
The Iranian government is still a bunch of bloodthirsty bastards and will be so until they are replaced. Perhaps you have already forgotten about them hanging that little girl from a crane in the public square there because some perverted Imam molested her and that was somehow her fault. I have not forgotten. The people who did that belong in the basement of hell.

I am happy but that doesn't mean that Iran's government is not blood thirsty. Iran's pres has already stated the the Israelis would be blown off the earth and that they are descendants of dogs and pigs. Does this sound like a nice peaceful guy. He also denies the Holocaust. Iran's government knew that they would be taken out if they did not release the sailors and it would not just be by the UK they would have gotten world wide support. There will be peace in the middle east when either the Jews or the Muslims are all gone or at least the radical ones.

To the people who think more talk should have been used on Saddam it had been tried for 12 plus years and he would agree to terms and then do the opposite of what he said. He laughed at the UN and everyone else because he was able to do as he pleased for so long.

Are they???

I have know many Persians in my life. I have no problem with any I have meet.

Iran is much like America the majority are just average people. But they are controlled by a crazy factor that managed to lie it's way into power (sound familiar)

So god told them they can look into the heart of Putin and know he's good folk. Just Like Bush did. All they want is electricity and Russia can provide it.

All the She'a want is everyone else dead. It's all so simple.

Go big Bush Go

They should have never took the Brits in the first place. They had no right to do so. The Iran governemnt is not for peace, so you need to get that out of your head. The Iranian people may not be bloodthirsty, but the government sure is. Don't be fooled by their BS! Thats what I think.

Amazing isn't it? No bullets were fired, no nukes were dropped, not even carpet bombing of Tehran. Diplomacy worked, once again to defuse a potential problem.

Yes it does show that the Iranian government is not made of blood thirsty monsters. It probably upsets the cowboy and his minions who favor the shoot first and ask questions later mentality.

If they are not mindless bloodthirsty monsters, why did they capture the sailors in the first place?

Of course everyone should be happy about that. Too many people have died already. Perhaps if Bush had used more diplomacy and less force, not so many US soldiers would be dead or maimed for life. I think Bush wants war with Iran.

I am happy for them and their families, but i have my concerns on how this makes some persons thing its not a kinder, gentler Iran we are dealing with. Iran started the military problem in this event using their forced to abduct another nations troops, to ignore the Geneva conventions and then give them back as a "gift" for their holy day

Absolutely....it illustrates perfectly the power of propaganda over gullible minds.

They take hostages in disputed waters, parade them before the cameras, broadcast video "confessions," threaten to try them as enemy spies, use them to inspire "Death to America and Britain" rallies....then release them despite all the previous claims about "aggressive intrusion."

Now they are congratulated for being the level-headed diplomats...and those who condemned them for their actions are seen as the "bad guys."

Can't wait for the Iran Benefit Concert in Central Park....
