Truck just died while idling (sp). Didn't sputter or anything just died. When I tried to crank it again, none of the dash gages let up, and now the radio doesn't come on and the windows didn't roll up.

Checked all the fuses on the side panel and under the hood, and all looked good. Some of the black fuses and silver ones you aren't able to tell if they are blown. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

How do you check the black relays?? There is a clicking sound on the fuse box under the hood, but I can't locate where. Are any of the solutions you mentioned fixable without taking it in?

Don't want to have it towed if it is something I can fix by myself.

Fuse to alarm system was blown, replaced without any success. Ignition and radio fuses were good.

with so many things worng all at once i would suspect a fuseable link, one of the main fuses under the hood or the body control computer.. it sounds more like a body computer though unfortunatly with so many seemingly unconnected systems going at once

Check the batt with a volt meter. I fit is reading lower than 10 volts the alt is more than likely gone bad. If you have a good charge on the batt than I would then check the resistance in the neg batt cable. With everything going out all of a sudden I am suspecting that it is a bad wire somewhere. I would assume it is in the gound. Could be an easy fix if you can find it.

My guess.
The power wire from the battery positive cable to the starter got melted to the exhaust manifold and created a dead short to the engine.
