Yes. Why would people want to use something other than Yahoo?!. Well... the answer is to try out something new which is not provided by Yahoo!

I use only Yahoo and my husband uses only Google. This is good. We have the best of both worlds.

Wow! Your question sounds dumb, but I'll answer plainly. Google is one of the giant search engines, I'd say number three of the big three - Yahoo, MSN, Google in that order. Yahoo! is the grandfather or is it mother of all search engines using directory search. There are others which use index search and AltaVista is their mother. Yahoo is number one in terms of traffic and 'most all their services are free. If you read Google history, you'll find that Yahoo! actually fed them when they were growing and left them on their own when they were grown. Whose talking about Google where Yahoo! is. Tell you what, I like Yahoo! search better cos it gives you cleaner links. There's lots of scam links on Google associated with Google billions.

LOLOL I so get your question!!! Thanks for the laugh. The only questions I answer here are for ones where personal info and knowledge or opinions are needed, since I believe that is what this site is unique for. But so many are just so lazy and use it instead of Google (or my first choice Metacrawler lolol). So many times I see a question a simple search would answer and say, do you know how to google something or are you just lazy?! Generally I assume it's the latter and I try not to encourage those.

Thanks for touching on a pet peeve of mine and giving me a good laugh while at it!

Funnnnnny! Yeah, I've heard of it. Sometimes I find my answers to Yahoo!Answers there. There are a lot of good sites out there, not just Yahoo and Google, but these two are the best known and best frequented.

Good plug by the way.

LMAO!

Yes, we've all heard of Google.

It is the pioneer in the Search Engine technology, by the way.

And their GMail and Google Earth and quite a few other Services have got Yahoo left waaaaay behind!

By the way, in their version of Answers, you get paid to Answer Questions!?

Cheers!

Google is just another search engine. the name derives from the word googol which means a million. google is good because it has many applications and it runs faster than yahoo in my opinion. it has gtalk(IM client), gmail(email client), google spreadsheet and word doc, google maps, google earth and book search etc. google came out with many applications. google is a good choice.

did you just come out of a coma that you've been in for over 15 years??? Sometimes the results are different and people pay money in some cases to have their results surface to the top. There are all sorts of search engines out there (dogpile, for instance).
