United we stand, and divided we fall, is just not words, but how do you deal with the other party that does everything they can to divide us. .

i'm very concerned about it and i do feel that it makes us weaker. it's also just what the middle east (those who hate us out there) want. and it infuriates me that there is so much political tension within our country. i know we can't get along all the time, but when we're involved in a war, we need to all stand together so that we can be done with it sooner and with a positive result!

had this much tension existed during WWII, i wonder if we would have won that war....

i don't think we should all think the same or anything like that, having differing opinions is a good thing and is part of what makes america so great. but when there is such a strong hatred for the opposing political party, it can paralize the country.

Yes, I am concerned with the political division in our country. Even your average Americans are bashing each other of both the Republican and Democrats when evil people work on both sides in the government. People keep taking sides as to which party they mainly go for and don't really care so much about the individual. Us average Americans are spreading hatefull comment at each other for being involved in a particular party when maybe the actual individual who votes for that party may actually be more sensible and reasonable than the politicians who started all of this. We are supposed to view other peoples opinions in this country and respect that others are supposed to have that choice. Hatefull comment to the other party won't get peoples attention, it will only spread anger and cause evern worse, more hatefull things to follow. Both parties are guilty of something because of what a politician did while serving and that reflects on anyone in that party, even though the people weren't the ones to cause this. Other countries see that we are a country divided and they will laugh at us and embarrass us. We are more susceptible to attack from others when they see that we cannot get along. People fueled by anger, who in turn, pass it along to others. It gets us nowhere but in a fight. Politics and those people who abuse the system is where it all starts, clean that up and we can start to work on our hate in this country.

Well yes and no. Being a strong part of that split I like being able to debate my view points that if we all agreed wouldnt work. Also that every one agree's sounds like fundimental communism...
But I dont like listening to the idiot claims by the far left. So its really a toss up.

as for the political division making a weaker nation... it dose a bit but it depends on who is leading the nation. With a strong leader no, with a weak incompitant leader like Clinton for example ya not only a weaker nation a death threat.

No, it does not mean we are weaker. Part of what makes us a strong nation is that there are differing opinions and views on things.

However, I am not a fan of bipartisan division. Just like ANYTHING else in the world, it is not always black or white. But, regardless I don't think it makes us weaker.

I even have continuously been interior the middle. I even have continuously supported animal and environmental rights alongside with being tolerant of others, yet fiscally conservative. I even have voted for Republicans and democrats, yet now i will in no way vote Democrat lower back. they are purely socialists now. i'm a man or woman that has been thoroughly removed from their occasion. i come across them repulsive and treasonous. they go with to alter the values of yank freedom and turn it into the former u.s.. It sickens me that the rustic is familiar with so little approximately what they are vote casting for. They call Republicans fascist yet i do no longer truly think of that they know what fascism ability. additionally they have self belief that we'd like no government in any respect? I even have actually heard them say this! Lol! i've got self belief that the naive and the uninformed signify the democratic/socialist occasion. So specific, we are actually divided. Republicans go with man or woman freedom and that they go with the government to let us know while and what we are able to consume.

You can thank Mr. Bush and his Administration for the division in America..... He is a Divider not a Uniter.... He has not earned the Trust, Respect and Confidence of the American People.... He is an Opportunist, Fear Monger, and War Monger.... He has taken real good care of the haves and have mores and forgot about the rest of the American People... He has ruined the Country Financially and caused other Countries to look down on America.....He has kept Sixteen(16*)+Million Americans in Poverty since 1997 by neglecting to raise the Minimum Wage.. Thank you Georgie for your DISSERVICE TO AMERICA.....

There is not as much division as one might be led to believe.

There are a lot of people out there who prey on people's ignorance. Some people will believe anything someone tells them. This creates division.

I worry more about people being used and not being able to think for themselves.

I'm concerned that we are pretty deeply and evenly divided. This is a recipe for continued infighting and pettiness in the forseeable future.

But people have their opinions, and shouldn't bury them just to get along. We have to work together, but fight for our beliefs also.

Somehow, in time, a new consensus does get reached.

not necessarily. passionate political discourse makes for strong democracy. when you have one side overpowering or silencing the other, then there is real trouble.
most people are level headed and logical, middle of the road type. its the two extremes, the "wacko liberals" and the "right-wing-nuts" that make the most noise and spoil a better functioning democratic society.
