i am planning to visit amsterdam soon..please tell me wat are the place that r worth seeing there?

1. Anne Frank Huis (very quiet, inspiring, try to visit in the late afternoon)
2. Van Gogh Museum (many paintings, not only by van gogh, but also his contemporaries)
3. Centraal Station
4. Dam Square (national monument, palace, etcetera)
5. Rijksmuseum (though only part of it is open due to reconstruction, you can still visit The Night Watch, etcetera)
6. Some Canal Boat- Tour (the city is most amazing from the water)
7. Waterlooplein or Albert Cuyp Markets (fun, interesting items for VERY cheap prices)

If you are an adult, you may want to take a stroll around the Red Light District and enter a coffeeshop.

In Amsterdam:
Rijksmuseum - you have to see the Night Watch by Rembrandt.
Van Gogh Museum - incredible collection
Anne Frank House - very impressive.
Tour along the canals
Visit a Diamond Factory
Hortus Botanicus (Botanical Gardens)
Heineken Brewery
Flower Market

surroundings:
Volendam a beautiful fisherman´s town
Marken where people still wears traditional clothes.
Alkmaar with its cheese market.
Keukenhof, famous park with flowers and tulips blooming.
Go to Den Haag (The Hague) where the government buildings and the Palace where Queen Beatrix works can be found.

Amsterdam has some great museums, Ann Franks house, the Red Light district is a must (and very safe), take a trip to see the tulips, and everyone has to take a canal boat tour.

Take the canal cruise from Damrak...the city centre.

Visit the Heineken factory and museum.

Alkmaar cheese market nearby.

Madame Tussaud's and the nearby Sex Museum- located near the Red Light District.

The Red Light District.

Wooden clogs factory.

Diamond workshops.

Rijksmuseum.

....the selection is endless.

the red light district - very interesting, the delft factory, wooden shoe factory, edam cheese, anne frank's hideaway, tour the canals.

have fun - loved it there. the nightlife is great
