The idea that there is no age appropriate dressing is really absurd. Of course there is. Would a mature woman dress like a school girl, outside of her own bedroom? No, it would look like a halloween costume. Nowadays older, more mature women can wear more styles than they could have 20 years ago because styles and fashions, in general, have relaxed. Any age can wear jeans and a t shirt, but I think that a mature woman needs to be aware of her own sense of style and her place in the world. A mature, older woman, even if she has a hot smoking body looks very silly and desperate when she wears a mini skirt or short shorts. Just as a 16 year old wearing a matronly dress would look out of place.

Why not have a superhero theme or a comic book character theme? Then you can show off your slim waist without looking trashy. The ones you chose are really stereotypical and predictable. And chances are someone will wear the same as you. Chosing a theme will ean it'll be more memerable and then you can dress up as Black Canary, Red Sonja, Emma Frost, Jean Grey... loads of really cool hot characters.

I believe in age appropriate AND body appropriate. Style confident does not necessarily mean in good taste. Come on, I don't even want to see Cher in a mini skirt and she has a killer body. I don't want to see platform flip-flops on anyone over about 23 either.

I agree with Alexandriagal, of course they can still try to look nice and even sexy sometimes, but i guess that can be done with something adequate to their ages.

I have seen women in elegant suits or dress that looks great, and they doesn't need to use a little miniskirt wich make you think she borrowed by her granddaughter.

Even the actress try to do it, with some exceptions. Look at Susan Sarandon, she is sexy with whatever she wears, or Goldie Hawn who is really hot, but she have found a nice style.

in a sense... I mean I don't want to see a 60yr old woman (great body or not) in short shorts and a tube top, not do I like to see little girls in short shorts and a midriff top ...however, that doesn't mean that you can't dress sexy at 60... you know what I mean??

Body Appropriate defenately, I don't want to see a 450 pound beast wearing spandex, dress to compliment or hide your body.

think its sad, when a older woman is trying way too hard to look 21 and sexy, I'm 56, dress for comfort for my tastes, my 35 year old son, gets very proud when he see's men looking at his MOMMA, as long as he knows I'm not looking back-lol

agree, unless you are talking about dressing a child of course. I get tired of seeing 13yr old girls in mini skirts that you can see their rear ends and bare midriff shirts.
