You can have a period and be pregnant and nothing is going to happen. I know it happened with my cousin and every-thin was fine with the baby. She had her period for the first three months and did not know she was pregnant

Generally your period will stop when you are pregnant. However, due to numerous reasons, you can have what appears to be a period while pregnant. If you know you are pregnant and are having vaginal bleeding that is bright red, especially if it is accompanied by cramping and passing clots, it may be signs of a miscarriage. This warrants a call to your doctor. I conceived my 4th baby when I had been taking birth control pills for 11 years. I had no idea I was pregnant and continued taking the pills. I had a period up until the time I went to the doctor for my yearly physical and we were all quite surprised to find that I was 17 weeks along with no pregnancy symptoms at all. Bleeding during early pregnancy is not unusual and may not lead to a problem, but your doctor should be made aware of it.

You cannot have a period while you are pregnant.

You can bleed while pregnant but it's not called a period. It's called implantation bleeding or just random bleeding that sometimes happens in early pregnancy.

You can only have a "real period" when you are ovulating and pregnant women do NOT ovulate.
