Toxorhynchites, also known as mosquito hawks, is a large cosmopolitan genus ... (nearly 100 species), and one of the few types of mosquito that does not suck blood.
And it could also be this insect. Crane flies are insects in the family Tipulidae, resembling giant mosquitoes. Like the mosquito, they are in the order Diptera (flies). Adults are very slender, long-legged flies that may vary in length from 2 mm to 60 mm
It looks like a big daddylong leg and flies, either way it is harmless and will not bite.

It's a crane fly, and harmless. Some people do call them daddy long legs. Their larvae, called leatherjackets, live in the soil and eat roots. There are different species. Some drink nectar as adults, some don't eat at all as adults. They just mate and lay eggs.

It's a Crane Fly. (it's definitely not a mosquito as the previous callers have stated.) There are 14,000 species of crane flies.
Next time, spray it with aerosol bathroom spray to knock it out. Then lacquer it. Glue a pin on the back and... voila...you have a lovely broach.

Long legs, long body, long fly-like wings, and flops around clumsily?
If I described your bathroom buddy, here's your answer.

That sounds like a mosquito hawk. They are not dangerous to humans and actaully are very helpful- they eat mosquitos.

It's the dirt bug which feeds on all the dust in your room. Keep the room clean to avoid more...if not they will build nests and you'll have hundreds.
