Here's my take on it. A single guy with a pet doesn't have time for a woman. He has a pet for companionship mostly. Some guys who have pets and walk them on the beach, however, are trolling for women trying to give the appearance of being a caring guy when in all actuality, they just want to get in your pants. Brutal yes, but honest!

From my experience, I would say false. I had freind (an aquaintance) that took his dog everywhere, he was always good to the dog, but when it came to his wife, he treated her like crap.
I choose not to have a pet for a number of reasons, many of which have nothing to do with loving and caring.
I think that men who are animal lovers (not owners) would be more caring and loving than those who aren't.

It's true in a sense. It's the same thing that makes a man with a child (in a park or playground) appealing to some women - it means that he's caring and responsible.

I would say it may be true, BUT, it could also mean that they give these pets more attention than anyone else. I know someone like that....so he cant keep a girlfriend. His pets come first.*

Of course we are. We are the men who want to be part of something beyond our selves. Pets give us something to nurture until we have someone.

True, it means they can for something that need their love and protection. Helps them learn how to nurture a living thing, preparing them for girls.

This is what I know... if a man is good to it's pet then he will be good to you, if he treats the pet badly... run away, don't walk! That's how you will be treated too.

Not necessarily. Many single guys live in homes or apartments that do not allow cats or dogs.

I do not believe that at all sometimes they can be even heartless when it comes to their pets. My ex is a good example of this.

It's true, but you should also be warned. I dated a guy once that had a big dog that he called his "kid" and that dog came before everything else. It was kind of ridiculous.
