I think that very much depends on the question. And perhaps we use a little of both . In business situation we probably use the faculty of identification of the drives and needs of the public . We might use a projection of our own personality to judge a situation or product would we buy it ? Is there anything better on the market . but you can see how we would use the same criteria when choosing a partner would we buy it ? is there ant hying better on the market . However as too the superiority of using either Heart or head .
The French ( that wise race say ) the heart has its reasons ) often people will be regarded as headstrong when they could also be accused of being Heart strong
The other thing is are we more forgiving if we make mistakes if we think we have used one over the other .
You can try answering this yourself . food for thought .

Let me know what you think!!!!!!

the head/heart question is similar to asking do you follow the Id, ego, or superego.

Ruled by your head would mean that you make decisions by weighting every possible consequence or outcome of your yet to be determined action. Taking in other facts other than just how something makes you "feel"

Ruled by your heart would be making a decision based solely on how you "feel" or just using the Id. Its all about satisfaction of the senses. Theres not much thought given to the outcome or how it will affect you or anyone else later .

Saying " I go with my heart" is just a way of saying you use the Id because all thought process occurs in the brain.

None is better. You need them both in balance. If you rule by head only then you more than likely will be cold-hearted. If you rule by heart only then you more than likely are an idiot and would be in the dumps and depressed for most of your life.

I am a Pisces and apparently have had a life battle between head and heart (two fishes pulling in different directions!). I am now getting on a bit and still my head (sense) tells me one thing and my heart (desire) tells me something different. I hope I have learned to balance the situation and still get the most I can from life and enjoy life within sensible limitations. Head sometimes is too 'reasonable', 'risk free' and 'boring', other times it's adviseable to listen to the head,. Heart can be 'fickle', want 'instant gratification' but also loving and constant, be lighthearted, have fun.
A danger is to blame, moan etc. when thing don't go our way, we make the choices and we have to accept the outcome.

It is better to be ruled by my heart than by my head.

The seat of the soul is the heart so I feel that anything done from the heart guidance should be better than the head. this means that everything done from the heart will be Best for the individual,

the seat of intelligence and memory is the head and everything done from here will be less better for the us as the amount of distraction due to all the senses will make it less better.

You should rule yourself by your heart because it's the truest path to take, it has an instinct between right and wrong. Whilst using your head rises questions and doubts in your head which may not be the right choice for you. The heart is the centre of everything, it knows what it's best for you. If only people would listen to it often enough.

The heart makes you a giver, and the head makes you a receiver. Kind of like bread and water, you need both and yet neither should be overbearing. Use your head to protect your heart, but let both be in harmony, like a king and queen ruling together.

It is better to be ruled by your head. The expression, "better to be ruled by your head than your heart", put simply, means that if we allow our heart to rule, it is because we make decisions based upon emotion. If we allow our head to rule our lives, it means we think clearly and make decisions from an objective point of view.

However, when it comes to giving to charity, we must allow our hearts to rule.

good question vanessa.

sincerely I don't know....when you rule with heart people say you are so soft and delicate and judge you...when you rule with head , they say you are cold person and again they judge you.

Still i'm a feeling person....I feel things in order to make an decision...I feel empathy for the others....but that is not good every time cuz you get too involved in others problems.

So I guess a combination of both would be a perfect combination.

Take care and and good luck.

Following your head is best in most situations but I'd say where family is concerned the heart must rule - but thats really the only exception.
