What the Browns need most is a Playmaker and the best one available is WR Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech. He is the class of the draft and guys like him come around not too often. The Browns WILL draft him if he is still available at #3. If he is not available, they will pick either QB JaMarcus Russell of LSU or RB Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma (in that order) whichever is still available.

I really think the Browns are in the best position in the draft right now.
They get 1 of the big 3, as they need either an HB or a QB
They will either get Adrian Peterson or Brady Quinn, and chances are they'll get to pick between the 2.
I think they'll draft Peterson. They don't want an unproven QB who might not do well in the NFL.
They want a playmaker, now. Peterson has great size, speed and moves, and I really like his playmaking ability.

I think picking JaMarcus Russell would be a big mistake. Winning now is imperative and Russell is talents are based on potential and a Bowl game. Brady Quinn would be a good pick but he would be a rookie Quarterback and we all know that you have to get lucky to win with a rookie. Adrian Peterson would be a great pick but the problem with this is that he gets injured too easily and the Brown's injury list is always a full roster. To me the best bet would be to Take Joe Thomas if available let's sure up our line which we are 8 years too late on doing, pray that Jamal Lewis has second breath and we might be competitive. The very last option which is the one I like the best trade down compile more picks and fill more holes at every position.

If they can't move up to select JaMarcus Russell, then they need to draft ADRIAN PETERSON. I know a lot of "experts" and mock draftaticians are saying they should pick Brady Quinn, but Quinn is a SLIGHT, and I do mean SLIGHT upgrade over Charlie Frye. Frye is still developing, so when its all said and done, he could be something special. Jamal Lewis is only signed for one year, and you dont know if they signed the Jamal Lewis of old, or an old Jamal Lewis. Peterson makes sense here. You platoon him with Lewis next season and in 2008 he's your franchise back. Lewis is a temporary solution to a permanent need. Just because you have a starter at HB, doesn't mean you dont draft another, just ask the Saints and Colts, teams who had a starter but took a back in round 1 anyway. How'd that work out? The Saints were in the NFL's final four and the Colts won it all. Don't screw this one up Phil Savage. DRAFT ADRIAN PETERSON!

i'd call them insane in the event that they did draft Matt Barkley: one million) They have already got Brandon Weeden. in the event that they draft Barkley they are throwing away a 1st around p.c.. from earlier he even performs 2 sasons. triumphing communities do no longer do this. 2) look on the deal the Rams have been given via identifying to purchase and promoting. The Browns have lots of artwork to do. in the event that they have the #one million common p.c.. than they might desire to work out approximately identifying to purchase and promoting to aquire extra draft possibilities. A QB is barely fantastically much as good because of the fact the gang around them. The Browns could use advancements at just about each and every place. 3) gross revenues Cap- Granted the rookie pay scale sort makes this a lesser element. That suggested the extra money you wrap up in a single place the fewer money you have in others.

Adrian Peterson regardless of who is on the board. The Browns have a very good O-Line since they just signed Eric Steinbach the Browns need a Vet QB like Drew Bledsoe to teach the young Charlie Frye (they may have the O-Line to support him if Bunk gets to playing shape. AP is also the choice because they could have a very mean RB tandem in Jamal Lewis and AP the hammer and the slasher it is the new rage in the NFL.

Adrian Peterson - he has the most upside and can be an immediate impact player. I'd also like them to sign Trent Green to fill in the QB position, but I think he's just using the Browns to get more money from Miami.
The Browns don't have time anymore for rebuilding, so drafting a rookie QB to be a starter would be a mistake.

Well if not Quinn he will fall like a rock because the other teams do not need a Qb and i think they are shell shocked by a pick called Tim Couch. Adrian Peterson would be a good choice at this pick. I am not sold on Braylon Edwards either so Cal Johnson would be a great pick.

why do u people keep saying Adrian Peterson cause that would be a waist of a pic u don't draft him because u just paid big money for Jamal Lewis so u need to move up and get JaMarcus Russell but if i was them i would get some d-fence cause they worked on the offense by trading so they need some D so they need to stay were they are and pic Brady Quinn or Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson cause he can give the D a big boost or Alan Branch, DT, Michigan they need D-line but they have to hold on to them cause the browns d sucks but Denver's d-line is made up of 6 former browns players so they need to get QB or DL

In my opinion they don't have much of a quarterback, so they should draft JaMarcus Russel out of LSU(I doubt they've got a chance at him) or Brady Quinn out of Notre Dame. Might want to go with Adrian Peterson, the running back out of Oklahoma, though.
