Last night we had a bad thunderstorm. The kids slept right through it, but the dog needed to lay between hubby and I in the bed and cry because he was scared.

solution: when the dog is a puppy (but it'll probably still work), whenever it goes to its food bowl to eat/drink, take two pot lids and bang them together... eventually the dog will get used to this and not be so afraid of lightning

(with our dog, the first time she heard thunder she immidiently started barking back.... this happend the first 5 times or so, and sometimes she seemed a little scared, but after a few times she didn't really care anymore)

I don't have a dog but I have a cat named Sissy....because, well.....shes a big ole Sissy!

Whenever the doorbell rings, she about jumps out of her skin. She absolutely hates the sound of plastic bags and I really hate running the vaccum anymore because it just sends her into such a tizzy. I can't figure out why shes so afraid. She was barely eight weeks old when we got her, so its not like she was abused, I wouldn't think. I hope she wasn't....

Anyway....yeah, a big chicken!

My dog is a little chicken. He's a chihuahua, and he barks to beat the band wagon at any dog or person he thinks is a threat, but if they come near him, he runs and hides.

my dog thinks it's a cat, the cats think they are human & I can't tell them different because I couldn't afford the therapy it would take. :) Should I call Dr. Phil?
