Guru Greg, proud as ever, knew he would be sacked.
so he resigned.
but why is he blaming the players for the debacle?
he said players play for sponsors!!
then,are they selected for sponsors?
i've got no issues with him & don't support biranchi moharana slapping him either, not forgetting the forbidden finger he flashed at us in calcutta.
he was a good coach but he wanted to hold his own to such an extent as was not justified.
he failed to cultivate good, friendly relations with the players.
on the contrary,he created factions.
can we forget the mail he sent to the board about dadi?
and now more recently his ''sms'' ??
his ''young team'' theory failed completely.
so did his favourite boys venugopal rao & suresh raina.

but at the end of the day its the game that suffers.
i just hope & pray this doesnot affect the game.
**team India, the show must go on**
god bless team india & indian cricket.

cheers & god bless:-)

The best thing that could have happened to Indian Cricket in the last 2 years. Actually that man came to India with a purpose, to destroy Indian cricket and he has done it successfully. The biggest "Namak Haram" in the Indian cricket. In fact along with this chappell fellow, one person needs to be thrown out of India, i.e., Kiran "Rascal" More.

Considering the politics going on in the Indian cricket and the influence the senior players can put on the BCCI, Greg Chappen may have got the feeling that his contract may not be renewed. Hence he may have decided to quit gracefully before BCCI tell him that his services are no more required.
