This is like comparing a computer to a set of wooden blocks!
The 226 years that you mention were all "Modern" times as opposed to the 6,000 years that extended far into the past to where man was just beginning to even write or record history.
I would have to say that Persia's greatness was in the fact that it has existed from then - until now which was no easy task!
Will the United States still be around in another 6,000 years?
Doubtful the way we are going now isn't it?

I disagree, at the same time as i glance round me I see all sorts of attractiveness and data of God's hand in creation. so a ways as this 6,000 years in the past stuff. Why would you draw close at some some balderdash that some stupid evangelical spouts. i do no longer comprehend of everywhere interior the bible that states the earth is 6,0000 years previous. The bible does no longer aspect out how lengthy each of the seven creation days quoted were in words of what we now call an afternoon. each of those 'days' might want to nicely be 1000's of thousands of years. The bible does no longer some thing to disprove technological information and by my own reckoning technological information keeps proving to me that God is unquestionably all effective. notwithstanding i'm truly no longer educated in theology nor am I any style of global renouned scientist. i'm only a monotonous man or woman..extremely nicely knowledgeable, over 60 guy who's likewise a Christian.

First of all, ancient civilizations like persia created the building blocks of society. You can't build a good house without a foundation. Another thing, PEOPLE invented those. That shouldn't mean that the area they live in can take credit for their work.

A great deal of social ideals such as religion have come from that region. They are very rich in culture and heritage. That should be sufficient. Culture defines us, not how many innovations we pump out.

without the Persians the US wouldn't be what it is.. they saved a lot of the history from ancient Greece, Rome and Macedonia that would have been lost by the Christians burning it.. we wouldn't have known much of the ancient Democracies or how they worked.. we would have been blind to our own history... you can thank them for that.

I hear that persians invented flies-on-a-stick. They catch these big desert flies, put them on a stick, and eat them. I think they sprinkle them with desert dust for a little hometown flavor. Other than that, I don't think they've done anything like flight, computers, electricity, plumbing, space program, medicine, and other stuff that one associates with the United States of America.

The Persians pioneered many advancements in mathematics and science. While the Europeans were stuck in the dark ages, the Persians were experiencing an unprecedented enlightenment.
It's not fair to compare modern accomplishments with past ones because technology progresses at an exponential pace... in hindsight fire is no big deal now, I got portable fire in my pocket. But thousands of years ago it was...
I could try and explain the Persian advancements, but honestly from reading your post you wouldn't understand them or their significance.
