Isn't it funny how we get criticized if we don't conform to society's expectations, but we usually don't get recognized for our deeds unless we do something extraordinary?

That is only while we are living.
We get recognized once we are dead for having lived an ordinary life.
You can't recognize what is ordinary as ordinary until it is finished, where as, the extraordinary can be recognized at anytime because it exists the moment it happens and people notice it is out of the ordinary.
But the graveyards are filled with ordinary people who are recognized for nothing more than being.

Society usually is critical of people who are "different," yet the significant advances made throughout the history of mankind have been brought about by those who think "outside the box" and dare to be different!
