They put you and anyone who rides with you in danger. Go directly to the owner and make this fact clear. Tell them you want the entire job done over and you will need to inspect it before you take the car back. Tell them you will not pay a cent and if they choose not to correct their dangerous mistake that you will take swift legal action.
If this is a chain store, file a complaint with headquarters even if they fix the problem. Cheats have no place in repair work.

If you had no brake, then the brake pedal would go all the way to the floor, since nothing would be there to stop the wheel cylinder. If you have 4 wheel disk brakes then the rear calipers would be pressing against the rotor making a lot of noise.
Are you saying they didn't replace the pads on one side of the brakes? If so, then take the car back to the shop and show them, it wasn't done. Call the BBB and file a complaint
Become the squeaky wheel that will get the grease.

Take it back to the repair shop. Stand with the technician as he looks at it and show him what you are talking about. If you find out for sure that they did not replace the brake and they will not correct their mistake you should contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB) you can go to their website at www.bbb.org. Because if what you say is right this is not only fraud but also putting you at risk and they may have done it to others.

Sounds like a fly by night operation! You are telling us they put nothing on one side? Or did they just replace one side?
Either way stay away from that repair shop! They are a recipe for disaster and probably criminal charges at some point!
You don't mention your state of residency but here in NYS all shops have a license number posted on the facility to which you can report this kind of conduct! If they don't have the sign posted, report them anyway as they are violating the LAW!!!

It could be that the caliper cylinder is frozen (stuck). It happens occasionally if the cylinder wall or cylinder is rusty or dirty. My advise is to take off the caliper and disassemble it, then make sure its clean and rust free (especially the cylinder wall and cylinder). If that doesn't free it up. you may need to rebuild it (not a difficult procedure, you can buy a rebuild kit at any auto parts store). Reassemble and remount, and that should do it.

I would take it back to them and tell them that they need to finish there job and then inform them that you are not gonna pay for the second brake to get fixed cuase it was not your problem and you were not the one that fixed it and if they would fix it free of charge then i would raise some hell with them and inform the local news about that repair shop

What kind of car can you drive with no brakes at all on one side? Can you post a picture? Or define no brake at all?

Take it back to the repair facility, surely they will make the appropriate repairs. This is a safety issue, if they will not do the repair then call the local news.

If what you are saying is true, this is FRAUD. You best have it checked by the ministry of transportation. How did you drive it with no brakes?

You should have taken it back to them and got them to fix it immediately. You can still do that because they have failed in their duty of care and provided an unuseable vehicle.
