When did you first style your hair the way you wanted instead of your Mom?

i remember i was actually 10 and still parting it on the side when my sister said why don't you part it down the middle, and i said, Mom does it this way, and she said, WHY DON'T YOU DO IT? i felt like an idiot.

I was 10. I was mad at my friend Holly Nichols and we hadn't talked for a week and during that time she got her hair cut really short -like a boy I told my mom- Mom agreed that she looked like a boy and told me she didn't know WHAT Holly's mother was thinking!

Then a couple weeks later Holly and I were friends again and I was mad at Mom (for some reason) so I told her I wanted my hair cut just like Holly's!

Must of been around 10 as well, I remember the show the "Mod Squad" and I wanted my hair parted down the middle like Peggy Lipton...

Probably when I left home. She has never liked my hair since. Especially now...she thinks I am too old to have hair to my waist...

when i reach 13,before that,my mother always comb my hair to the side,something like spiderman's actor's hairstyle,except mine is comb flat

When I was, like... 10 also. (4th grade) My hair was big and poofy, then I begged my mum to let me straighten it - then I begged her again to let me get a perm. Yay.
