I would love to live in the country (in acottage were you can see greenery for miles without looking at any other buildings other than a few quaint cottages dotted over the green meadows and tall trees.And have a few hens (just for the eggs )as pets running free ish.Grow my own veg and fruit,make my own jams and butter and bread just for use at home.WOOOOOOOO MY LOTTERY DREAM AAAAHHHHH.

I am already living the dream........ with no lottery winnings.
We have a quiet little house, surrounded by a big field and woods. We have 3 hens, a rooster, and 4 baby chicks, and 2 cats. We aren't "way" out in the country, but it's so peaceful here. Sitting on the porch in the mornings with a cup of coffee watching the birds is the best stress buster in the world. We rent this little piece of heaven for $350 a month, have a 99 year lease that guarantees the rent will never increase. Best landlords you could ask for. We're outside the Oklahoma City limits.
I hope you get into your dream house too!

I hate to burst your bubble but most people these days don't live in cottages even if they live in the countryside, you'd have to start your own neighborhood. In my opinion the secluded island sounds good as long as I have a boat. =P

Secluded Island. I have lived the city and now I'm in the country, (But not as pretty as the one you described) I think is time for a change.

You sound like my significant other, and it truly has appeal.
I prefer the waterfront, for swimming, diving, exploring, fishing, boating.
I wonder if there is a place that incorporates the two?
