i am a liberal and have been against the war since day 1, but i think they are just getting defensive because they know they are in trouble and they did some stuff wrong...if you keep hearing people ralllying against your decisions, youd be like that too..and they are already in too deep so they cant undo everything...i think they just want people to be quiet so they can attempt to do their job

Intolerant attitudes ARE freedom of speech! Personally I've noticed much more intolerance against conservatives than liberals. The problem with liberal thinking concerning Iraq is they assume if the U.S. just leaves, all will be better there and everyone will live in peace. I guarantee you chaos will result, and since the U.S. gives up again (Vietnam) Muslims will step up their attacks on all democracies. Why do you think Iran seized the 15 from Britain? I'll answer that for you, because they knew there would be no reprisal. British people, like people yourself, are bombarded daily by anti-war activists and media, and are willingly letting Islamic hate take over without a shot. This is our number one problem, not Global Warming, bird flu, George Bush, or Christians.

So what your proposing is hypocracy and pro-war, pro-troops people should shut up because your being called out for your destructive actions and beliefs??? This is the typical liberal hypocracy. Your saying that liberals can say what we want as liberals, traitors, commies etc, but one who opposes what we say is not allowed to have their say??? Freedom of Speech is a two way street, learn it, know it, live it. Its high time good people stopped just letting people like you spout off at the mouth, weaken our nation, and make us look weak to the rest of the world and started to speak up and tell you to knock it off, that your actions are UNACCEPTABLE. Your catch phrase words like intollerant and racists etc are getting old and thankfully because they've been abused for so long and so often by the left wing liberal wackos have become meaningless. There is nothing intollerant about standing up to people who are being destructive to our way of life and the security of the country.

Yes, the extreme (trying to cut funding, cut and run) are empowering the enemy. If they (the insurgency) stave off attacks until the known with drawl date, they can then move forward and create a "super power" of terrorism, and the majority that we have been helping will ultimately pay the price, like it or not, we have to stick with it.
This is a voluntary military...believe it or not reserves too, I would love to see a poll of the troops...... who knows better, what we are doing there.....

No. There will always be people who think that war actions are wrong no matter what. The majority of Americans didn't want to stop a guy named Adolph Hitler either. The USA cant be bothered by all people who don't agree with there actions.

"Freedom of Speech" does include the right to disapprove of your "idiotic" opposition to the Iraq war.
I don't think you are an idiot. It is only natural not to want war. I think that, in time, you will see that it is needed, though. Our enemies don't have the same aversion to killing.
What kind of threats have you received?

When you use your platform to burn a soldier in effigy and s.h.i.t on the American Flag, yes I become intolerant.....and if you are willing to dish it out, you better not throw a fit about those of us who respect our troops and president and our flag!!!! You know, you are hypocrites, don't you?

I think it goes the otherway much more often... I have been bashed for supporting the president more times that I can count.
If you don't support the war... that's your right... but please support the troops.
