I think we first need to deal with intolorance from liberals. Liberals claim to respect all viewpoints: from gays to socialist but it seems not all view points fall into that category.

I'd be curious to know why Buddhism is exempt.
To the untrained observer, Buddhism seems to be a practice of denial of the existence of the material world. In other words, while Western religions preach how to behave in order to reach the spiritual world, Buddhism teaches how to pretend one is already there. Sitting by a wall until one is granted enlightenment may keep one from making war on his neighbor, but it isn't a good way to get any work done.
The fact is, everything anyone does could be evidence of mental illness to someone. I can't imagine why a rational person would care what movie stars do when they aren't performing, so I would consider the purchase of People Magazine a symptom of mental defect. I don't understand why people watch American Idol, either. Some people have an aversion to mushrooms that a gourmet would find odd.
I'm just not sure that classifying religion as insanity is the way to go, here.

Religious worship, talking to invisible beings, is the single largest mental illness in the world. We need to fight for a cure. As with most battles, the war starts here at home. No country on earth is plagued with religion than America.

i do no longer think of that religious perception in itself is inevitably a trademark of psychological ailment, because of fact many religious believers are waiting to function (have reliable actuality attempting out, do no longer hallucinate, and so on.) That reported, i think of that faith can substitute into an habit for some human beings. human beings can get addicted to any substance or any technique - alcohol, drugs (including nicotine), nutrition, intercourse, the approval of human beings, playing, paintings, identifying to purchase, the internet.....and non secular activities. See a e book noted as "whilst God turns right into a Drug" by Leo sales area, for extra advice, or "poisonous faith" by Stephen Arterburn. additionally look into the links under.

It's more like a hive mentality than mental illness. The best way to deal with a hive is to use bug spray.

We're not combating religious fanaticism; we're combating people who want to see us killed because we're different than they are.
