This is normal for breastfed babies. Don't worry. Babies can actually go up to as much as a full week without any bowel movements before doctor would consider it to be concerning. As long as he is still having wet diapers then it's ok. Do not give him any laxatives though...this would be too harsh for his little tummy. One thing you could try is...take a baby wipe and place it over your index finger or your knuckle and massage his rectum for just a couple of minutes...this may stimulate him to poop. It has worked for my kids many times.
I have a 3 month old that had the same issues....I was very worried but my doc assured me that she would be just fine and that it will happen when it happens! :)
If he doesn't have a BM in the next 2-3 days, then give your doc a call, but it probably will and there is most likely nothing to worry about.
Enjoy your poopy free days....it won't be long until he is going a couple of times per day and he can hit them right out of the ballpark and up his back!
Good luck and Congrats!

Hi, try not to worry. Call your babies doctor, but what you can also do is give the little one some warm water with corn syrup in it, or by one of those little Heinz jar's of Apple - Prune juice. The juice will help. Give the baby just half of the juice the first day and if need too, give half the second day. It will help. It will really be a concern if your baby goes 3 to 5 days without any bowl movement at all. It happened to mine when he was 1 month old and this method helped alot. Do not give any laxative or suppositories. Take care and you will do fine.

Do not give him laxatives!
Breastmilk is very well digested. There is very little waste. It is NORMAL for a breastfed baby this age (6+ weeks) to skip days and not have a BM every day. It can be normal for him to only have one BM per week at this age. As long as it is not hard, dry and formed then it is NOT constipation.

Cal your ped just to make sure but I personally wouldn't be too concerned. Almost all breast milk is absorbed into baby leaving little left over for waste. One of the reasons "breast milk is best." It is not unusual to go a few days without a BM, especially in a breast fed baby. The AAP says, "If the bowel movements are soft, and your baby is otherwise thriving, this is quite normal."

If he is not uncomfortable, this could very well be normal. As long as he is his usual happy self, just satch and wait. Even some breast fed babies have intervals where they do not stool for several days.
Warning signs would be crying and irritability and a tenseness over the abdomen. You could then try an infant glycerine suppository or a babylax. If no relief, see your pediatrician.

I would not worry. My son, when he was 2-4 months only went once every 2-4 days. I took him to the doctor and they said he was fine. They told me not to worry but if he still hadn't passed a stool by 7 days that when to worry. I personally used about a half ounce of prune juice with a half ounce of water. It helped and he liked the juice also.

DO NOT WORRY! breastfed babies at this age do not poop as much as they used to! Some Breastfed babies will nto poop all week...they are not constipated! the milk is so pure, baby uses ALL of it....if this baby is still peeing , and seems happy....then there is nothing wrong...expect fewer poops until he starts solids!

I think you should atleast call the doctor. Ask him/her what she thinks. But when my daughter was about 10 days old we had to switch her milk to soy, which in return bound her up the doctor told me to put 1 tbs of apple juice in her 4 oz bottle at it worked. Boy did IT work!!

Is the baby extremely crabby? If not, do not worry about it. It will happen when it happens. If the baby seems to be in paid, call your clinic for advice.
