Yes yes yes. I had this really bad from 12 weeks to 24 weeks. I was in agony and I really hated it because I am a big exerciser and walking and yoga classes were awful for me. I started seeing a chiropractor and a physical therapist. The thing that really helped me was the physical therapist. She taught me how to move (have to keep your legs in the same motion - no spread-eagle or moving the legs away from each other). She made me give up my cardio routine, yoga classes and long walks. The only exercise I could do was swim laps with a buoy between my legs to hold them together. I would ice the front of my pubic bone. It's called pubis symphisis. Basically the cartilage between the pelvic bones starts to soften which forces your pelvis to separate and start to shift! Some women get really bad pain with this - like me. The goal of treatment is to keep the pelvis as stable and together as possible - hence you have to be careful with the movement. I must say after 2 months of physical therapy I am pain free. I never thought I would say this, because it was awful. Good luck.

I have a friend who is about 20 weeks pregnant or so.

She had the same thing except hers only lasted about 4 hours.

Her doctor said it actually is her pelvic bone breaking to make room for the baby to come out!

I had never heard of that but I guess it's normal. Her doctor said it was safe for her to take tylenol to help with the pain.

She just took it easy until it passed.

Hope that helps!

It probably is the baby's head putting pressure on your pelvic bone. You might try the chiropractor, it could be that you've got some joints out of place. Other than that, you can use some measures such as soaking in a Jacuzzi or Tylenol to help alleviate the pain. And just know that the baby will be out soon.

Try to gently reposition the baby. You do this by putting your hands under your belly and gently push up and try to readjust. Just do it very easily. It should relieve you a bit. You are getting very close to your time, and there is just not much room for the little one in there. You also might want to spend some time in a swimming pool or bathtub if at all possible. Sometimes that helps. good luck to you.

not much you can do. take some tylenol and try to relax. it's getting close to delivery. baby has probably dropped causing a lot of pressure.
