He brought in a nice class last year, but we need another big man and a small forward desperately. Most of the top players are already commited somewhere and UT doesn't have anyone in the top 50 interested. One guy that is ranked 51 is interested. Last year we got 3 in the top 35. We made it to the sweet sixteen this year, and with UF's players more than likely leaving, we will probably be predicted to be the best team in the SEC next year. Im just wondering what is going on with the recruiting. Im not sold on Tennessee becoming an elite program until Pearl can bring in a mcdonalds all american or something close. what is your opinion?

very true about coachability and fitting in the system......but do you think he would have passed on durant or oden? nope. i like being sure that all the players are coming back every year, dont get me wrong. but i want to see him bring in a dominant player. and if UT is gonna be an "elite" program and get to the final four, then he needs to do this. horford and brewer may not have been mickey d's all americans, but they were absolute studs. we need a couple guys who are big and have unreal athleticism. we lack that currenty. he is in the running for one or 2 this year that would be pretty nice. im just saying when he brings in a stud athlete, then i will be sold. brandon wright of unc, anybody on kansas, jeff green, kevin durant........or a big guy like oden, horford, etc.
you cant say pearl is gonna compete for a national title with the talent he has now. they are good, but we need some athletes. UT women's has always been great, so i see no reason why the men cant be
